Resident & Fellow Section Mentored Peer Review Program

Are you interested in reviewing for the Resident & Fellow Section of Neurology?

Do you need help getting involved in the review process?

The Resident & Fellow Section (RFS) of Neurology is pleased to announce that we will be piloting a mentored peer review program to help support resident and fellows who are interested in reviewing articles submitted to the RFS, but who feel that they have not had sufficient prior training or exposure to peer review.

This program will pair a resident or fellow mentee with a current or recent member of the RFS editorial team. The mentor-mentee pair will be contacted to review a submitted manuscript similar to solicitation of standard reviews. The mentee will work with a mentor to read, critique, and review a manuscript. Mentor-mentee pairs will have the opportunity to work together on peer review of manuscripts with the anticipation that residents and fellows would gain confidence to independently review for the RFS. The program will help residents and fellows discuss the steps for submitting a high quality peer review and provide a chance to understand the editorial and review process.

If you are interested in participating, please email Space is limited and interested residents and fellows will be considered on a first come, first served basis.

We look forward to hearing from you.
